Ua Expert Performance

Hello,

is ist possible to set the performance of the Ua Expert Client higher?
The server's performance is high, I measured it with the perfomance plugin: averge time per call is 1.5ms.
Why is the Client such slow in updating the values? Do I need to change settings?

Hi Christoph,

if you measure the performance of a server using the performance plugin, you will see the performance of read and write UA service calls.

When using the DA view for watching variable values changing, those results don't apply, as instead of read/write the subscription mechanism is used. Depending on the subscription and monitored item settings, you will get regular updates ("Publish") containing the latest values of the variables.

In order to get updated values more frequently, you'll need to use the context menu of the DA view to modify the publishing and sampling interval to your needs. The defaults are 500ms and 250ms. Please see also the OPC UA specification part 4, paragraphs 5.12.1 and 5.13.1 for details about subscriptions and monitored items.
