UaExper collect data
Hello, i'm using the UaExpert tool and i'm trying to collect data from a server machine. I'm using the data logger view that collects data from variable that i select and write them in a file. The problem is that when i start to record the variable value ,nothing happend. Some one have some suggestion on how to collect the data from a machine and save it?

Re: UaExper collect data
Hi,
the UaEpert is a free tool for demonstrating OPC UA features. The DataLoggerView is demonstrating the DataChange/Queue mechanizm of OPC UA, which allows for "high frequency" sampling of the data at the source, and at same time "low frequency" sending the (collected queue of) data to the client. Besides "reducing the traffic" on the wire, this OPC UA feature allows to optimize the "overhead to payload" ratio in the transmission, and it allows to "survive" short connection interruption without any data loss. Of course you UA server must support the queuing feature.
If the counter "DataChanges" is NOT moving, but the counter "KeepAlive" IS increasing, there is just not data change notification coming from the server. The data at the source still has the same value than last time (no recording required, because we already know the value from previous transmission).
