custom node icon

I am using UA expert for testing my custom built opc server, so far so good.

I am currently adding a feature into my server to enable custom node icons. i.e. A node can be displayed with a custom icon.

I've encoded the image as a standard property with data type bytestring but i can't get UA expert to display my custom icon for the node icon.

Does UA expert client support displaying custom node icons for nodes in the address space?

you can make UaExpert retrieve custom icons of nodes by changing the setting 'General.RetrieveIcons' to 'true'. This feature is disabled by default, as it requires an additional browse call on every node in the address space, which leads to unneccessary traffic for servers that don't provide custom icons.
