UaExpertMobile and Beckhoff OPC UA Server

Post by bernd.parchmann »

Hi,

I want to connect with the mobile client to a beckhoff/twincat server.

I copied the server certificate to the certs directory at the nexus 10 and copied the app certificate to the cert directory of the beckhoff opc ua server.

In the app i can connect to the adress of the opcua server. but when i want to go to the security settings to save the new server, i get the error: GetEndpoints failed (Bad) and [uastack] OpcUa_P_ParseUrl: OpcUa_P_RawSocket_InetAddr reports error 0x80000000.

Can anyone help?

Thx and greetings!

Hello Bernd,

the first guess is "name resolution" does not work. Have you tried to use the IPv4 address (instead of the name "CX_12345") when connecting to the Server? Does the same error occur when you connect to the "none" endpoint?

The Stack uses InetAddr and tries to resolve the name/IP. This will not work correctly in a network where no proper DNS Server exists.

Best Regards

I try to connect with the IPv4 address -> opc.tcp://192.168.0.101:4840
Then I can use the plus-button. At the next screen I can select a server. But when I choose the only one server, the mentioned error occurs.

I can try to use an other network. Its possible that there is a DNS Server...
