UaExplorer browse item list

Post by jr1234 »

Hell All,
I'm new on this topic, so, maybe, its my mistake....

I try to connect a UaClient to a OPC Classic Server on Win2008: ABB 800xA

If I try to browse the item list using the UaExplorer remotly , is shows wrong directory structure.
The UaExplorer use a Ua to Classic Tunneler from Matrikon.

on the higher levele: all directory are shown, but filled up with a lot of items, which are not shows by a localy OPCExplorer on the server hardware.

Entereing deeper level of directories: the browser stopps.

The trace give an error, while the UaExplorer seems working. But I'm not sure to ignore it:

7:05:12.986Z|1|D97D700* [uastack] OpcUa_SecureConnection_OnNotify: Connect event: ERROR 0x80050000!
17:05:12.986Z|1|D97D700* [uastack] OpcUa_SecureConnection_OnNotify: Connect event: Notifying owner! 0x80050000
17:05:12.986Z|1|DA7E700* [uastack] OpcUa_SecureConnection_OnNotify: Connect event: ERROR 0x80050000!
17:05:12.986Z|1|DA7E700* [uastack] OpcUa_SecureConnection_OnNotify: Connect event: Notifying owner! 0x80050000

My problem:I need the UaExplorer to find out the new NodeId's .

How can I fix it.
Every hint and question is wellcome.

with regards

JR

Hi,

this sounds like a pretty wired setup to me, but maybe I did not get all the components in your scenario correctly.

What you should do is:
1) install UaGateway on the W2k8 machine and configure local connection to the classic DA Server representing the ABB 800xA
download from here: https://www.unified-automation.com/downloads/opc-ua-servers.html
see configuration example here: https://documentation.unified-automation.com/uagateway/1.5.8/html/howtoaddcom_sec.html
2) install UaExpert on the client-side machine
download from here: https://www.unified-automation.com/downloads/opc-ua-clients.html
3) start UaExpert and connect remotely to the UaGateway
see configuration example here: https://documentation.unified-automation.com/uagateway/1.5.8/html/howtoconnectua_sec.html

When browsing check out the mapping of "folders" being just organizational (having no value but organizes reference to sub elements), but parent variables that have children will be "objects" (having a structure value).
Best regards
