OPC UA http/soap protocol support

Is there plans to support the http/soap part of the OPCUA spec?.

UaGateway and UaExpert seem to only support the binary protocol.

Hello beau,

The level of protocol support depends on the support in the ANSI C Stack of the OPC Foundation.
- UA TCP / UA SecureConversation / UA Binary as the default protocol is supported from the beginning.
- HTTPS / UA Binary is now supported but we have it still in testing. It will be integrated into UaGateway as soon as it is stable.
- HTTPS / SOAP / XML encoding is not supported by the ANSI C stack yet but it is under development.
We will integrate new protocol bindings as soon as they are available in the ANSI C stack and released by our test team.

Hello Thomas,

there is no way to get a prototype from us. Especially the third option "SOAP/XML" is not the prefered protocol binding within the C-Stack.
You should ask the OPC Fondation directly.
