OpcUa Specs 1.05: Encoding and decoding of structures

Post by rkumawat »

Hi

In Opcua specification 1.05 a new attribute introduced for DataType Field "AllowSubTypes" that said if it set to true field should be encoded and decoded as ExtentionObject.

Does UaExpert support this attribute in DataType Field and handle decoding of data accordingly?

Hi,

yes, the UaExpert from its version v1.7.x and above, does support the AllowSubTypes feature.
In the demo server's addresspace we have variable, which you can use for testing/demonstration:
--> browse for Demo.Static.Scalar.Structures.StructureWithAllowSubtypes

You can click through the widget with "..." button to get to the concrete subtype selection.
