Are there builtin nodes for physical units like Volt?

Post by kaippp »

Hello,

I am beginner in the OPC UA world.

Are there builtin nodes for physical units like Volt, Pascal, metre, ...?
If there were none, how can I express a physical unit, maybe as a string like "m/s2"?

Thanks

Hi,

The AnalogItemType in OPC UA defines a Property EngineeringUnits with the DataType EUInformation. This DataType contains a display name e.g. 'm/s2' but also a UnitId that can be processed by algorithms. The UnitIds are defines in OPC UA Part 8 - Data Access
