Look for a node in hirearchy

Post by milublues »

Hello,
Is there a way , before adding a node in our tree, we can check if the particular node is present or not.

Hi,

Your question sounds like a SDK related question and not like a general OPC UA technology question.
You posted your questions in the OPC UA technology section. Pleas post your question in the right SDK section otherwise we can not answer it. The answer may depend on the SDK used.

From a OPC UA point of view you can just read the NodeId Attribute to find out if a node exists in the server.
To check the availability of a node inside a server implementation depends on the SDK used.

Best Regards,
