OPC UA revision differences

Post by seadonk »

I would like to know the differences between the OPC UA revisions 1.01, 1.02, and 1.03. I have looked through the OPC Foundation's documentation. They have a "highlights" section in each document, but these did not prove to be complete or very helpful. I have found information indicating that HTTPS and 256 bit encryption were added in 1.02, but I cannot find any other differences.

What are the main differences in the specification for OPC UA 1.01, 1.02, and 1.03?

You have to read the change logs in evey part to find out in detail.

A lot of the changes are compliance and interoperability clarifications.

In addition there is a long list of little features described in the change logs of the different parts.

So there's not a single repository where all the changes are listed in?

The OPC Foundation manages a tracking system that contains all reported issues and related changes in specifications.
https://opcfoundation.org/resources/issue-tracking/

But it will be difficult to create queries that provide you a dedicated change log per specification.
