equipment monitoring - failure help using opc ua

Post by sancelot »

Hi,
I am brand new to opc ua architecture.

Regarding equipement monitoring , I am used to indicate to the user some needed status informations about the machine that will help in case of some io failure.

eg for a jack moving;

Info: jack backward: waiting for sensor x.y , ouput 5.0=1

In the OPC UA world, what kind of feature is used ???
Regards,
S.Ancelot

Hello,

for simple messages you would probably use events idicating status change. For process values you would probably use variables.
